Clear responsibilities. Clear entry rules.
FutsalIndex is operated by The Salty Pistachio LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 10788917), VAT registration GB272026232. These terms apply to tournament registration and entry-payment tools. They do not replace the organizer’s event terms or mandatory legal rights.
Event responsibility and legal rights
Our event responsibility terms form part of these registration and payment terms. They explain responsibilities for safety, safeguarding, injuries, belongings, event delivery and refunds, including the legal rights that remain protected. FutsalIndex does not run or insure independently organized events and does not guarantee their delivery or the organizer’s refunds or refund timing.
The organizer sells the event entry
The organizer identified on the registration page is the seller and event provider. The club’s entry contract is with that organizer. The organizer is responsible for event delivery, venue arrangements, eligibility, safety, safeguarding, permissions, insurance, taxes on event sales, refunds, complaints and payment disputes. FutsalIndex supplies the website and registration software and remains responsible for its own services and legal obligations.
Online payments are optional
Tournament and league organizers may use registration without Stripe, including free entry, offline payment, bank transfer or payment arranged by message. The organizer must explain the arrangement before a club registers. Offline acceptance confirms participation only: FutsalIndex does not collect, hold, verify or refund those payments and does not charge its payment fee on them. The organizer arranges and tracks payment and returns any refund directly.
When the organizer chooses online payments through FutsalIndex, a successful verified payment automatically confirms the place, subject to capacity and eligibility. This reduces manual payment coordination with clubs. The following Stripe account and platform-fee provisions apply to that optional online collection.
Organizer payment account
Organizers must be authorized to act for the named business or organization, provide accurate seller and support details, and complete Stripe’s hosted verification and applicable agreements. Payments are created directly on the organizer’s connected Stripe account. Stripe processes payment information and manages verification and bank payouts under its own terms. Payment availability depends on the organizer’s country, account status, currency and Stripe restrictions. FutsalIndex does not promise an immediate bank payout or guarantee organizer performance.
Platform fee and VAT
The organizer pays FutsalIndex a fee of 2.5% of each successful entry payment collected through FutsalIndex, rounded to the payment currency’s supported minor unit. This total includes any VAT applicable to FutsalIndex’s fee; VAT is not added on top of 2.5%. Stripe processing, dispute and currency-conversion costs are separate and borne by the organizer under its Stripe agreement. Clubs see the full entry price before payment. The organizer must include any applicable event taxes in that price and supply required receipts or invoices.
FutsalIndex records platform fees, refunds and available VAT information. Country-specific tax treatment may require accounting review. A downloaded fee statement is not a substitute for a tax invoice where one is required.
Applications, invitations and confirmation
Only approved club representatives may apply or register an existing team. Entry fees apply per squad where charged. Interest and unapproved applications do not reserve a place. An approved offer reserves capacity until its stated payment deadline; an invitation does so when the club accepts it. For online payment, confirmation requires successful verified payment and an available place. With payment arranged directly, organizer acceptance or open registration confirms participation without online payment; accepting an invitation also confirms an available place. Offline interest can be accepted directly by the organizer. Confirmation is not proof of offline payment. Approved offers retain the fee and rules presented for that offer. Organizers must not misrepresent entry availability, eligibility or guaranteed services.
Organizers may set an automatic switch from approval or invitation entry to open registration. A switch does not remove existing approved reservations. A payment that cannot be allocated must be reviewed promptly and refunded if the organizer cannot provide the agreed entry.
Withdrawals, cancellations and refunds
Before enabling registration, organizers must state clear cancellation and withdrawal rules, deadlines and a public refund contact. Editable policy presets are starting points; organizers must ensure their chosen rules are fair and lawful for the relevant event and jurisdiction. No-show, withdrawal, replacement-team and exceptional-circumstance rules must be disclosed before a club pays. Existing payment records retain the rules accepted at the time.
If the organizer cancels the event, the organizer must provide a clear reason and refund the entry price in full. Stripe cancellation refunds are funded from the organizer’s connected payment account; offline refunds must be arranged and paid directly by the organizer. Organizers must process any outstanding queue and address pending or failed refunds. A cancellation notice or refund request does not mean a bank refund has completed. Material date, venue or service changes may create additional refund rights and should be discussed with affected clubs.
For successful full or partial Stripe refunds, FutsalIndex returns its platform fee proportionally, including the associated fee VAT where applicable. Stripe may retain its original processing costs, which remain the organizer’s responsibility. Organizers must maintain sufficient funds to meet refund and dispute obligations, even if Stripe has already paid proceeds to their bank. A refund does not automatically change a team’s sporting results, bracket or withdrawal record.
Complaints and disputes
Clubs should first contact the organizer shown on their entry record. Organizers must respond promptly and manage card disputes through their Stripe dashboard. These terms do not remove statutory protections or cardholder rights. Questions about FutsalIndex’s own service can be sent to hello@futsalindex.com. FutsalIndex may suspend payment features for misuse or unresolved compliance concerns.
Information and privacy
FutsalIndex stores entry, authorization, consent, payment-reference and accounting records needed to provide the service. Card and bank credentials are collected by Stripe. Public event pages identify the organizer and its chosen support address; private applications and payment records are restricted to authorized organizers and club representatives.
